How to Create and Add Favicon to Blogger

Favicon is a tiny image which apppear in the address bar of any website, Google blogger uses a default B image for all blogspot blogs, You can easily change/remove a default favicon and upload a custom one to your  blog. You can use any image (16x16) to use it as a favicon image for your website or blog.
However there are a few sites, which offer you tools to create for yourself, Before you use any image as a favicon, you must to generate an .ico extension from your image, You can design a small image in adobe photoshop or any photo editor, and then convert that image to ico.
Throughout this post we will learn how to create or generate favicon and how to upload it in blogger.

How to create Favicon:

it is very easy to create a favicon(.ico) online, 

Step-1: First of all create a small image for your website, which could be anything, usually it is the the starting name of your website or a simple logo of your site, Once you create, then jump to step2

Step-2: Visit Dynamic Drive and click on choose file, and locate the small image that you have created in step1, and click on Create favicon, your favicon would be generated and you can download as .ico extension.

Now if you're using blogger platform for blogging, then in the second part of this post we will learn how to upload favicon on blogger.

How to add favicon to blogger blog:

Step-1: first of all, login to your blogger dashboard , a list of your blogs will appear, select a blog and click on Layout.
Step-2: Now at the top of your blogger layout, click on Favicon Edit.

Step-3: A new window will opens, click on remove(if you want to change) Or simply click on Browse, a window will pop, and will bring to your local hardware files, you can locate your favicon(.ico) extention file and finally click on save.
it may take upto 24 hours to take effect, So be patient and wait.
